At its iPad mini event, rumored to be held Oct. 23, Apple will also unveil a 13-inch MacBook Pro with a high-resolution Retina display, 9to5Mac reports citing a “reliable source.”
Details about the device are scarce: It will reportedly inherit the thin and light enclosure from the 15-inch Retina model, and it will be sold in two configurations, alongside the standard 13-inch MacBook Pro which was updated with faster processors in June.
If true, the report confirms an earlier rumor which claimed Apple plans to release a smaller Retina MacBook Probefore the end of the year.
The 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro was unveiled in June. It sports a 2880×1800-pixel, 220ppi screen, quad-core processors and up to 16GB of RAM. It is only 0.71-inches thick and weighs just 4.5 pounds.
